Today’s weather: Possibility of light rain and snowfall in the Mountainous region

KATHMANDU:- Currently, there is a partial influence of a high-pressure system in the upper atmosphere and a low-pressure phenomenon in the lower atmosphere near the eastern region of Nepal.

At present, the weather is generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as the hilly areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. It is partially cloudy in the remaining regions.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, this afternoon the weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini, as well as in the hilly areas of Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces. The remaining areas will be partly cloudy.

The Division has stated that there is a possibility of light rain or snowfall with thunder/lightning in one or two places in the hilly and mountainous regions of the country. However, some areas in the Terai region will experience fog in the morning.

Tonight, the weather will be generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous region of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and in the hilly areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces. The rest of the areas will have partly cloudy weather.

There is the possibility of light rain/snow with thunder and lightning at one or two places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while a few places in the Terai region will see haze cover tonight, the Division stated. RSS
