Heat wave expected in the Terai areas of Madhes and Lumbini provinces for next three days

KATHMANDU:-  The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has urged caution as there is a possibility of a moderate heat wave in a few places in the Terai region of Madhes and Lumbini provinces for the next three days.

The division issued a special bulletin on Thursday, asking people in Bardiya, Banke, Dang, Kapilvastu, Rupandehi, Nawalparasi, Parsa, Bara, Rautahat, Sarlahi, Mahottari, Dhanusha, Siraha and Saptari to remain alert. Similarly, it has urged people in Kanchanpur, Kailali, Nawalparasi, Chitwan, Sunsari, Morang and Jhapa to remain updated and alert.

On Friday and Saturday, it will be generally cloudy in the mountainous and hilly regions of the country, including Koshi Province, and partly cloudy in the Terai region.

Tomorrow, moderate to heavy rainfall with thunder and lightning will occur in a few places in the mountainous and hilly regions of the country, including Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces, the Division has stated.
