1,246 polling stations in Madhesh Province categorized as highly sensitive

DHANUSHA:- One thousand two hundred and forty-six polling stations out of a total of 2,160 in the Madhesh Province for the House of Representatives election to be held on March 5 have been categorized as highly sensitive.

According to the Madhesh Province Police Office, most polling stations close to the Indian border have been classified as highly sensitive.

Kamal Thapa, spokesperson of the Madhesh Province Police Office, stated that work is underway as per plan regarding monitoring and security measures at these polling stations.

This information was given out at the press conference held today in Janakpurdham. It was informed that out of the 32 constituencies for the House of Representatives election in Madhesh Province, 755 polling stations are sensitive and 159 polling stations are normal.

There are a total of 4,471 polling centres in Madhesh Province. There are 1,028 candidates from various political parties as well as independents.

The number of voters is 3 million 517 thousand 123. Among them, the number of men is one million 905 thousand 819 and the number of women is one million 611 thousand 304. RSS
