‘Standing in favor of a constitutional monarchy is the only option for the Nepali Congress’
KATHMANDU:- Nepali Congress leader Shankar Bhandari has stated that accepting a constitutional monarchy is the only option for the party.
Speaking at a press conference held in Kathmandu today, leader Bhandari—who also serves as the coordinator of the ‘Grand Campaign for Establishing a Sanatan Hindu Nation’—urged all political parties to accept the monarchy.
He said, “Let us rise above personal and partisan interests. Let us hold our motherland, Nepal, in the highest regard. Let us not give external interests an opportunity to exploit the situation; the constitutional monarchy—a legacy of the Great King Prithvi Narayan Shah, who led the nation’s building—can be preserved. The Congress must unequivocally embrace this fact.”
Bhandari stated that the Congress party should put forward the core idea of the Vedic Sanatan Dharma, along with a constitutional monarchy.
