Singer Yam Baral resonates at musical evening in California
LOS ANGELES:- Singer Yam Baral, who traveled to the United States for further medical treatment following a two-month hospital stay, recently performed at a musical evening in California.
Yam performed his popular songs at ‘The Grand Dashain Mela,’ an event organized by the Nepali Community Center (NANC) California in Richmond. Taking the stage with the song ‘Badaluko Ghumto,’ he captivated the audience by singing several of his hit tracks, including ‘Nisthuri Le Chhadera,’ ‘Man Rahe Po Mayapriti,’ ‘Dilmaya,’ and ‘Sanam Maya Lako.’
Along with him, singers Nalina Chitrakar, Mamata Deepbim, James Pradhan, and Juna Prasai also performed their songs at the event.
The event was held at a community hall in Richmond—built by the Nepali community itself—making Yam the first artist to deliver a musical performance there.
“I am very happy to have the opportunity to perform at a community hall built by the Nepali community itself. I have once again witnessed how everyone here cares about my health. I am deeply touched by their love, support, and wishes for my recovery,” Yam told Ratopati.
The event was also supported by organizations including the United Nepalese of California and the Federation of Indigenous Nationalities of Nepal (California chapter).
After being diagnosed with multiple myeloma, singer Yam Baral recovered following two months of treatment at the TU Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu. Some time ago, he left for New York, USA, for further treatment.
