Two killed, 13 injured in bus accident

JHAPA:- Two persons died and 13 others were injured in a road accident at Giribandhu Tea Estate of Birtamod municipality-6 in Jhapa district today.

The deceased have been identified as Dinesh Kumar Bhattarai, 46, of Itahari municipality-11 and Raj Kumar Chaudhary, 42, of Rangeli municipality-2, said Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Khagendra Bahadur Khadka.

A passenger bus belonging to Sagarmatha Yatayat met with an accident when it was heading towards Kakadvitta from Biratnagar.

All the injured are receiving treatment at a local B&C Hospital. Chaudhary was driver’s assistant. Search for the absconding bus driver was underway, said police.
