NRNA’s membership and delegate system needs to be changed: VP Suneel Sah

TEXSAS:-  Sunil Sah, Vice President of the International Coordination Council of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), has said that all parties should immediately withdraw the cases pending in various courts to strengthen the unity of the association.

Sending a letter to the NRNA working committee, Sah said that until the cases filed in the court by various parties are withdrawn, an environment of trust will not be created and it will also be difficult to maintain emotional unity.

He said that after withdrawing the case, clear procedures should be prepared on membership and delegate systems and other necessary issues.

He has also suggested holding an executive committee meeting before any discussion or decision is made in the steering committee. “I respectfully request that you convene an executive committee meeting as soon as possible to discuss these important issues,” he said.

“It is our collective responsibility to implement the integration process correctly, respectfully, and with full transparency,” Sah said in the letter.

Earlier, he welcomed the broad unity in the NRNA and stated that the NRNA campaign should be strengthened from the bottom up, while remaining within the rules, procedures, and legal framework.

On November 30, in the presence of the interim government’s Prime Minister Sushila Karki, a unity was announced between the group led by Mahesh Kumar Shrestha and Dr. Badri KC, who were elected from the unity convention.

Both sides have agreed to jointly hold the 12th General Convention. An 11-member steering committee has also been formed to make the convention transparent and credible.
