Nepali Congress urges government to be serious about the security of Nepalis in the Middle East
KATHMANDU:- The Nepali Congress has expressed deep sorrow over the death of a Nepali citizen, who was struck by falling debris during a drone attack on an oil field in Saudi Arabia.
In a statement issued by the party’s Acting Chief Secretary, Krishna Prasad Dulal, the Nepali Congress paid heartfelt tribute to the deceased Nepali citizen and extended its deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
The Congress has strongly condemned and denounced violent incidents that result in the loss of innocent lives, stating that such acts are contrary to humanity and human values.
The Congress has expressed that it is deeply tragic and concerning that Nepali citizens are losing their lives—needlessly—in a conflict in which Nepal is not even directly involved.
Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has stated that the loss of even a single Nepali citizen’s life—unnecessarily—is deeply tragic. While paying tribute to the deceased, he has drawn the attention of the Government of Nepal to the need for more serious initiatives to ensure the safety of all Nepali citizens working in Saudi Arabia.
President Thapa has urged the government to exercise high vigilance regarding potential risks, ensure the safety of Nepali citizens, and arrange for immediate rescue operations if necessary.
The Congress party has emphasized that the protection and safety of Nepali citizens working abroad must be given top priority.
The statement also expresses the hope that the families of the deceased may find the strength to endure their grief during this unbearable time of sorrow.
