Nepali Congress leader Gopal Man Shrestha passes away

KATHMANDU:- Nepali Congress leader Gopal Man Shrestha passed away today while undergoing treatment at Helios Hospital in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur, said NC Spokesperson Devraj Chalise. He was 79.

Shrestha’s mortal remains will be kept at the party central office in Sanepa, Lalitpur, tomorrow, Wednesday, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am so that party leaders, cadres, and well-wishers could pay their final respects to him.

Thereafter, the body will be taken to the Pashupati Aryaghat for the last rites. Meanwhile, the party has called an emergency meeting at 8:30 am tomorrow, Wednesday.

The meeting is scheduled to endorse a condolence motion over the demise of the party senior leader Shrestha.
