Natural disasters obstruct Nepal’s six highways

KATHMANDU:- Floods and landslides triggered by incessant rains have disrupted six major highways across the country.     

The affected routes routes include Khurkot-Nepalthok-Katunjebeasi, Kanti Highway, Mechi Highway, Saljhandhi Dhorpatan, Zero Kilo along the Araniko Highway at Bhotekoshi rural municipality-4, and the Kaligandaki Corridor at Belbagar of Jaimini municipality-8 in Baglung.

Meanwhile, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast heavy rainfall in different parts of the country Saturday and Sunday, urging one and all to take necessary precautions against possible risks from the rains.
