National Assembly passes ‘Bill to amend some Nepal Acts relating to Institutes of Health Sciences’

KATHMANDU:- The National Assembly meeting unanimously passed the ‘Bill to amend some Nepal Acts relating to Institute of Health Sciences, 2083’ today.   

Minister for Health and Food Safety, Nisha Mehta, had tabled a proposal in the NA meeting, seeking the passage of the Bill. NA Member Basudev Ghimire participated in the discussion and thanked the government for accepting the amendments made to the Bill.

The Bill, which was introduced to substitute the ordinance, was received with a message from the House of Representatives, Lower House of federal parliament. NA accepted the report of the Legislative Management Committee with amendments. The Bill is being sent back to the House of Representatives.

NA Chairman Narayan Prasad Dahal thanked the concerned ministers, committee members and all members for passing the four bills related to the substitution of ordinances and two other bills associated to budget following brief discussions amid short timeline.

NA will meet next at 1:15pm tomorrow.(RSS)
