Possibility of heavy rain in five provinces on Sunday
KATHMANDU:- The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that the country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds. The monsoon low-pressure trough is currently positioned near its normal location.
As a result, the weather across the country is generally cloudy. Light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning is occurring in a few places across Koshi, Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in one or two locations in Gandaki Province.
Generally cloudy conditions will prevail across the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning in some places within the country’s Himalayan regions. Similarly, light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning is likely in many places across the hilly regions.
Light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning is also likely in some places across the Terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in a few places across Madhesh Province and the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
There is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The weather will be generally cloudy across the country tonight. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning in a few places in the mountainous regions. Similarly, light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning is likely in some places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in a few places in the hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The Department has stated that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning in some places across the Terai region of Koshi Province, a few places in Madhesh Province and the Terai areas of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, and one or two locations in the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.
