National Assembly passes ‘Cooperatives (First Amendment) Bill, 2083’

KATHMANDU:- The National Assembly meeting unanimously passed the ‘Cooperatives (First Amendment) Bill, 2083’ today.     

Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration, Pratibha Rawal, had tabled a proposal in the NA meeting, seeking passage of the Bill.

The Bill, introduced to replace the ordinance, was received with a message from the House of Representatives. NA accepted the report of the Legislative Management Committee along with amendments. The Bill will be sent back to the House of Representatives.

In response to the queries raised by NA Members during the discussion on the Bill, Minister Rawal thanked the committee for the amendments and suggestions.

NA Member Dr Prem Dangal thanked the government for accepting the amendments to the Bill as suggested by the NA members.(RSS)
