Memo submitted to Nepal Govt, demanding establishment of Nepali Embassy in Poland

WARSAW:- The Nepali community living in the European country of Poland has demanded that the government establish a Nepali embassy in Warsaw.

The NRNA Dolnoślński Regional Committee Poland has formally presented this demand to the Government of Nepal through the Nepali Embassy in Berlin, Germany.

The camp coordinator, NRNA Dolnoślński Regional Committee, submitted a memorandum today on the last day of the passport mobile camp, which has been operating in Wroclaw, Poland since January 2.

Dipendra Adhikari, President of the NRNA Dolnoślński Regional Committee in Poland, submitted a memorandum to Acting Ambassador to Germany Sagar Prasad Phuyal, demanding the establishment of a Nepali embassy in Poland.

The memorandum states that the establishment of a permanent Nepali embassy is essential to provide easy and regular consular services, including passport renewal and document authentication, in Poland, where about 20,000 Nepalis are living.

Receiving the memorandum, Acting Ambassador Phuyal expressed confidence that the memorandum regarding the demand for establishing a Nepali embassy in Poland will be conveyed to the concerned bodies of the Government of Nepal.

Currently, as there is no Nepali embassy in Poland, people are forced to visit the Polish Embassy in New Delhi even for simple procedures such as document certification and family reunification. Similarly, it is reported that Nepalis in Poland have to reach the Nepali Embassy in Berlin or wait at a mobile camp for passport and other consular services.

The Nepali Embassy in Germany is currently providing consular services to across 10 countries, including Germany.
