Labor Minister Sah removed from post over misuse of power

KATHMANDU:- The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has removed Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security Deepak Kumar Sah from his post.

Party President Rabi Lamichhane, in a letter to Prime Minister Balendra Shah, said Sah misused his ministerial position to regularize his wife’s membership in the Health Insurance Board, which had been inactive for a long time. The party’s Central Disciplinary Commission recommended action, noting the matter could harm the party’s image, ideals, and dignity.

Under Articles 25 (4)(a) and 69 of the party statute, the president has the authority to prevent harm to party principles and recall members in cases of office misuse. The commission has also recommended alerting Health and Population Minister Nisha Mehta.
