Fashion designer Suknita honored with ‘Everest Excellence Award’
KATHMANDU:- Fashion designer Suknita Chaulagain has been honored with the ‘Everest Excellence Award-2026’. She received this honor at a ceremony organized by Everest Events in Kathmandu on Saturday, in recognition of her contributions to society and the younger generation through the field of fashion design.
On this occasion, a total of ten individuals—including Chaulagain—were honored for their contributions to society across various sectors. Everest Events presents the ‘Everest Excellence Award’ annually.
“Such honors further deepen one’s dedication to the work and sense of responsibility. They make me feel that the skills I have learned and acquired have enabled me to contribute to society, however small that contribution might be,” Suknita told Ratopati. “It provides the inspiration to further boost this energy and creativity.”
Suknita Chaulagain has been active in the field of fashion design for a decade. There is high demand for the outfits she designs for Nepali films and music videos. Additionally, national and international models grace the runway wearing her exquisite designs, and renowned celebrities also adorn themselves in her creations.
A team led by Suknita recently launched the ‘Valentino Fashion and Interior Designing College’ in Koteshwor, Kathmandu. As the proprietor of ‘Valentino the Boutique,’ she has become a source of inspiration for young people aspiring to pursue a career in fashion design. She also serves as a judge in various fashion and modeling competitions.
