Australia stands by Nepal in its response to the recent devastating disaster, says Minister Wong

CANBERRA:-  Australia has expressed its condolences regarding the recent devastating disaster in Nepal and has pledged solidarity with the Nepali people and government.

Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong visited the Nepali Embassy in Canberra on Tuesday and signed the book of condolence.

She expressed gratitude to Nepal for the assistance provided to Australian citizens affected by the floods and affirmed continued support and sympathy for the Nepali people and government.

Australia has expressed its condolences to all the Nepalis who lost their lives or were affected by the disaster. Australia had already announced a contribution of five million US dollars in aid to Nepal.
