ARI, Mitrashri and Brahmakunj win Valley Public Inter-School Futsal Tournament title

KATHMANDU:- LRI, Mitrashree Pathashala, and Brahmakunja won the titles at the 5th Valley Public Inter-School Futsal Tournament on Tuesday. LRI emerged as champions in the U-16 Boys’ category, Mitrashree Pathashala in the U-12 Boys’ category, and Brahmakunja in the U-16 Girls’ category.

In the senior boys’ final held at the host school, Valley Public, in Bhangal, Budhanilkantha Municipality, LRI defeated NIMS 2–0 in a penalty shootout.

Ashutosh Malhotra and Abudaya Paudel converted their penalty opportunities. The match ended in a 1–1 draw in regulation time.

In the U-12 boys’ final, Mitrashree defeated National Blooming Flower Academy (NBFA) 2–1. Rishab Pahadi and Akris Khatri scored one goal each for Mitrashree, while Suprabh Shrestha scored one goal for the opposing side.

In the U-16 girls’ title clash, Brahmakunj defeated Kaustubh Academy 1–0. Diksha Kandel scored the decisive goal. Winners of all three groups received a cash prize of Rs 15,000, while the runners-up received Rs 10,000.

In the U-16 boys’ category, LRI’s Ashutosh Mahotra was named the best player, LRI’s Dikshant Sharma the best goalkeeper, and RIBS’ Risan Lama (8 goals) the highest goal-scorer.

In the U-12 Boys’ category, Suprabh Shrestha (NBFA) was named the Best Player, Krish Shrestha (Mitrashree) the Best Goalkeeper, and Akris Khatri (RIBS)—with 9 goals—the Top Scorer.

In the U-16 Girls’ category, Diksha Kandel (Brahmakunj) was named the Best Player, Wehaling Rai (Brahmakunj) the Best Goalkeeper, and Aaradhya Shrestha (Paradise Readers Academy)—with 7 goals—the Top Scorer.

The winners were awarded prizes at a ceremony by Valley Public’s founder and principal Krishna Prasad Adhikari, co-founder Sunita Bista Adhikari, head of administration Mahesh Adhikari, and vice-principal Sushil Wagle. Twenty-six teams participated in the U-16 boys’ category of the week-long competition, while 16 teams each competed in the U-12 boys’ and U-16 girls’ categories.
