The 250th Anniversary of the Independence of the United States of America

On July 4, 2026, the United States of America celebrates a truly historic milestone—the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. This remarkable occasion, known as the Semi quincentennial, marks two and a half centuries since the American colonies declared their independence in 1776 and began the journey toward becoming one of the world’s leading democratic nations.

The ideals proclaimed in the Declaration of Independence—that all people are created equal and possess the unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness—have inspired generations of Americans and people around the world.
