Indian arrested in hit-and-run incident in Nepal

KATHMANDU, (PTI):- An Indian national was arrested on Monday in connection with a hit-and-run incident that killed a 48-year-old person in Nepal’s Sudurpaschim Province, police said.

An Indian-registered car hit a motorcycle at Boradandi Chowk in Kailali district, killing Padam Chand, according to police.

The Indian national fled the scene after the incident but was later arrested by police from Godawari Municipality. He has been identified as Ashwin Kumar Singh, 42, a resident of Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi.
