Banker Binita Gurung crowned Mrs. Nepal World

KATHMANDU:- Surpassing 21 other contestants, Binita Gurung, a Deputy Director at the Nepal Rastra Bank, has been crowned the winner of ‘Mrs. Nepal World 2026’.

Hailing from Diktel, Khotang, she received a scooter as a prize for winning the top title. Gurung, who is also an advocate, will have the opportunity to represent Nepal at ‘Mrs. World’—an international pageant for married women held in the United States.

At the competition held on Sunday at the Nepal Police Club in Exhibition Road, Neha Gupta was named the first runner-up and also received the ‘Ribbon Entertainment Management Choice’ award; Jyoti Lamichhane was the second runner-up; and Sagun Khanal was the third runner-up, while also winning the ‘Horlicks Best Physique’ title.

Similarly, Shilpa Neupane Maharjan has been crowned Mrs. Nepal International 2026. Kristina Gyawali and Richa Sharma have emerged as the winners of Mrs. Cosmo 2026 and Ms. International 2026, respectively. Each of these titleholders has received a cash prize of 50,000 rupees. Nishukant Jha, the Chief Executive Officer of the organizing organization, stated that the winners of Mrs. Nepal International and Ms. International will have the opportunity to participate in international pageants held in Singapore, while the winner of Mrs. Cosmo will compete in an international event in Myanmar.

During the event, actress Niruta Singh was honored with the title of ‘Honorary Mrs. Nepal World.’ Shila Bastola, one of the organizers of the pageant, stated that this honor was bestowed in recognition of her contributions to the Nepali film industry spanning over three and a half decades, her achievements, and her inspiring personality.

In honor of Niruta, models and actors Yashraj Garach, Shila Gajurel, and Richa Thapa performed dances to songs from films in which she had acted and danced. They also brought actor Rajesh Hamal and actress Niruta Singh onto the stage and involved them in the dance.

In the competition, the winners of the sub-titles were: Sandhya Lama (Arna Most Energetic), Sushma Thapa (Nivia Fabulous Face), Anju Pariyar (Most Talented), Shilpa Nyaupane Maharjan (Cutie Care & Beauty Hub Best Hair), Dipti Dhungel (Healthy Skin), Kristina Gyawali (Best Ramp Walk), and Richa Sharma (Dinaj Fashion House Most Punctual).

Similarly, Samikshya Ranabhat (Ayuth Veda Best Smile), Shwechha Paudyal (Reliable Diagnostic Laboratory Most Disciplined), Kanchan Maharjan (Central Fashion Academy Fashion Icon), Sushma Thapa (KD Photography Most Photogenic), Bindu Thapa Rana (Most Confident), Yasmin Begum Sayed (Mrs. Congeniality), and Sunita Shrestha Karmacharya (Mrs. Humanitarian) have emerged as winners.

Chanita Sridaket Krethorne, Mrs. World 2025—who arrived in Kathmandu to participate in the grand finale of Whisper Mrs. Nepal World 2026—along with superstar Rajesh Hamal, actress Rekha Thapa, and others, presented awards to the contestants.
