4 more people arrested in Tiger Shroff shooting case
According to sources, the attackers have told the police that they wanted to spread terror in Bollywood by killing Tiger Shroff. The shooters were given 50,000 rupees as an advance payment and were promised additional funds as well as employment.
MUMBAI:- The investigation into the conspiracy behind the attack on actor Tiger Shroff reached the national capital, Delhi, on Tuesday. The Delhi Police’s ‘Special Cell’ has arrested four individuals. They are accused of playing a key role in procuring and transporting the weapons used by the attackers.
The police have arrested Kunal, Sumit, Radha, and Babita, and have handed them over to the Mumbai Police.
According to the allegations, Kunal and Sumit arranged the weapons, while Radha and Babita traveled to Dadar in Mumbai and handed them over to three assailants.
On Sunday evening, Tiger Shroff—son of actor Jackie Shroff—went to play football in Juhu, Mumbai. As the BMW he was traveling in made its way through a crowd of fans gathered at the compound gate, two individuals opened fire on the vehicle from the front. They fired 6 to 7 rounds.
One of the attackers got very close to the actor and aimed directly at him. Fortunately, the gun jammed when he pulled the trigger, leaving Shroff unharmed. The actor’s driver and a bystander present at the scene sustained injuries during the attack.
Earlier, Hrithik (alias Roshan, 22) from Bihar, along with Rehan (18) and Phool Singh (18) from Haryana, were arrested in Kota, Rajasthan. They were planning to flee to Nepal. It is reported that all three individuals are linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
The gang in question has claimed responsibility for the attack on the actor. The reason for this is Tiger Shroff’s closeness to actor Salman Khan; the gang has been attempting to target Salman Khan in connection with the ‘blackbuck’ poaching case.
Radha and Babita were arrested at the New Delhi Railway Station, while Kunal and Sumit were arrested in Sonipat, Haryana.
Kunal (21) and Sumit (19) are residents of Sonipat. Radha is from Sitapur in Uttar Pradesh, while Babita hails from Azamgarh in the same state.
Kunal was recently released from jail on bail. Through an acquaintance from Harsana village, he met Anil Pandit—a gang member who is alleged to have ordered the attack on Tiger Shroff.
It is alleged that he brought a pistol and 20 rounds of ammunition from Amritsar and met Radha two months ago. He persuaded Radha to transport the firearm to Mumbai.
On October 15, Kunal took Radha and Babita to the New Delhi Railway Station for their journey to Mumbai. They were in contact via an ‘encrypted’ (secret) app, through which Kunal relayed instructions from Anil Pandit to Radha.
Two days later, they arrived at Dadar Station in Mumbai and checked into a hotel. A minor boy collected a bag containing weapons from Radha. The following day, the three men carried out an attack on Tiger Shroff.
According to the police, on that same day, Radha and Babita boarded the Haridwar Express from Dadar, traveling from Mumbai towards Delhi.
Sources indicate that the actor (Tiger Shroff) was not the primary target of the attackers. During police interrogation, Hrithik, Rehan, and Phool Singh revealed that they had come to Mumbai with the intention of murdering another high-profile (well-known) individual.
A source stated, “After conducting reconnaissance of the places the individual frequently visits, the attackers realized they could not reach him. Subsequently, through ‘Reels’ (videos) posted by Tiger Shroff’s fans, they discovered that the actor did not have police protection; they then shifted their target toward Tiger Shroff.”
