Light rain in hilly regions; weather mainly clear in the Terai
KATHMANDU:- According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the weather in the country’s Terai region will remain mainly clear until Thursday.
The Department reports that the country is currently experiencing the partial influence of both westerly and monsoon winds. At present, there is partial cloud cover in the mountainous regions, while the weather remains mainly clear in the hilly and Terai regions.
On Wednesday, the weather will be partly cloudy in the country’s mountainous and hilly regions, while remaining mainly clear in the Terai. There is a possibility of light rain or snowfall in one or two places within the mountainous regions, as well as in the hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.
On Thursday, the mountainous regions will be generally cloudy. The hilly regions will experience partial cloud cover, while the weather in the Terai will remain mainly clear.
The Department has stated that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain and snowfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in a few places across the mountainous and hilly regions of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in one or two places in the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi and Bagmati provinces.
