Possibility of heavy rain in hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces
KATHMANDU:- The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that the country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds. The monsoon low-pressure trough is currently situated south of its normal position.
As a result, the weather is generally cloudy in Madhesh Province, as well as in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. Partly cloudy conditions prevail in the mountainous and hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in the Terai region of Lumbini Province.
The weather is mainly clear in the Terai region of Sudurpaschim Province. Light to moderate rain is occurring in a few places across Gandaki, Bagmati, and Koshi provinces.
Generally cloudy conditions are expected across the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of moderate rain accompanied by lightning in some places within the mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in a few places in the mountainous region of Karnali Province.
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning in some places across the country’s hilly regions. Similarly, there is a chance of light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning in a few places across the Terai regions.
Heavy rain is likely in one or two places across the hilly and Terai regions of Koshi Province, the Terai region of Bagmati Province, and the hilly region of Gandaki Province.
Generally cloudy conditions will prevail across the country tonight. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning in a few places within the mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in one or two places within the mountainous regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
Additionally, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning in some places within the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, in a few places within the hilly regions of Lumbini Province, and in one or two places within the hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The Department has stated that there is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning in some places of Madhesh Province and the Terai regions of Koshi Province, as well as in a few places across the Terai regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
