Landslide hits Prithvi Highway; traffic movement disrupted

TANHUN:- Traffic movement along the Prithvi Highway has been disrupted due to a landslide at Chhirkhane in Vyas Municipality-12, Tanahun.

The road was blocked by the landslide, which came down from above at approximately 7:45 PM on Sunday.

Tek Bahadur Karki, Chief of the District Police Office, Tanahun, stated that upon receiving information about the incident, a 20-member team was deployed to the site; this team comprised 15 personnel (including traffic police) led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Dwarika Prasad Ghimire—the Information Officer of the District Police Office—and 5 personnel from the Dumre Police Post.

According to Karki, necessary initiatives and coordination are underway to clear the landslide and restore two-way traffic on the road.
