Possibility of moderate rain in some places of the Himalayan and hilly regions on Friday

KATHMANDU:- The Weather Forecasting Division reports the influence of monsoon winds. Currently, the monsoon low-pressure trough is positioned near its average location.

Generally cloudy conditions prevail across all areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as the hilly regions of Lumbini Province. The Terai regions of Madhesh Province and Lumbini Province are also cloudy.

Light to moderate rain is occurring in a few places across the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in one or two locations in the hilly areas of Gandaki Province.

Generally cloudy conditions will prevail across the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of rain—ranging up to moderate intensity—in some places within the mountainous and hilly regions.

Moderate rain accompanied by lightning is likely in a few locations across the Terai region. Heavy rain is possible in one or two places within the hilly areas of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

Generally cloudy conditions will prevail across the country tonight. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in a few places within the country’s mountainous regions.

Additionally, there is a chance of light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning in some areas of Madhesh Province and the hilly and Terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in a few areas of the hilly and Terai regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The Department has stated that there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places across the hilly and Terai regions of Koshi Province, as well as the hilly regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
