Indian-American Kiran Reddy crowned Miss Georgia Teen USA
Reddy participated in her first pageant before turning 15. She began her pageant journey in Coffee County, placing as the first runner-up and then the second runner-up before finally winning the title this year; in doing so, she made history by being crowned 'Miss Georgia Teen USA-2026'.
GEORGIA:- Kiran Reddy, an 18-year-old of Indian origin, was crowned ‘Miss Georgia Teen USA’ this year. She became the first Indian-American in Georgia’s history to win this title.
However, even weeks after being crowned, Reddy herself could hardly believe she had achieved this significant milestone. Reddy says, “It didn’t feel real until about a week had passed.”
During her school days, Reddy was following in the footsteps of her father, Dr. Reddy, in his medical practice. She said, “Watching my father interact with patients awakened a sense of service within me. I still remember playing with my father’s stethoscope.”
That initial interest gradually evolved into a vocation. Reddy volunteered in the nursery of the regional medical center’s labor and delivery unit—an experience she says steered her toward a career in obstetrics and gynecology. “That’s where I fell in love with the field of women’s health,” Reddy said. “So, that is what I will pursue in the future.”
She plans to enroll in the pre-med track at the University of Georgia. After completing her education, she intends to provide obstetric services and care to women in other countries.
Reddy’s record of community service extends beyond competitions. She helps students with reading at local elementary schools, hosts tea parties for residents at the Lakeside Senior Living Center, and organizes charity events at the same center—one of which raised $3,000 for Alzheimer’s awareness.
Reddy said that her social service work began even before her involvement in beauty pageants. She stated, “I grew up with a spirit of helping others and contributing to society; my upbringing was rooted in a sense of service.”
She said that winning the title helped expand the scope of her social service journey. Reddy stated, “When I started participating in beauty pageants, it provided me with a platform—a voice—to amplify my impact on society.”
