‘Nepal Festival-2026’ to be held in Warsaw, Poland on Saturday, July 11
WARSAW:- The ‘Nepal Festival 2026’ is set to be held in Poland for the first time. Organizers stated that the festival, scheduled for July 11 in the city of Poznań, aims to promote Nepali culture, traditions, and tourism.
Organized by the ‘Hami Nepali Global – Poland Chapter,’ the festival will take place at the Imperial Castle in Poznań, starting at 11:30 AM on Saturday.
According to the organizers, the festival will be held under the chief patronage of Sagar Prasad Phuyal, Nepal’s Chargé d’Affaires to Germany (who also oversees Poland). Representatives from various governmental and non-governmental organizations—including the Polish Ministry of Culture and the Nepal Chamber of Commerce—have also been invited to the event.
The organizers have urged the Nepali community in Poland to participate in the festival carrying the Nepali national flag and to help make the event a grand success.
According to Shanti Shrestha, President of the organizing organization ‘Hami Nepali Global–Poland,’ the festival will be held in two phases.
As part of the first phase, a cultural rally featuring the national flag of Nepal will commence from Centrum Kultury Zamek (at Marcin 80/82) in Poznań. The rally will proceed through the city’s main areas, showcasing cultural tableaux, traditional dances, music, and traditional attire that reflect Nepal’s authentic culture.
In the second phase, a formal program will be held at 1:30 PM in the main hall of the Imperial Cultural Center. The event will be attended by the Chargé d’Affaires, representatives of the Polish government, members of the diplomatic community, and representatives from various organizations.
“Nepal is a country rich in culture. Through this festival, our objective is to familiarize Polish citizens with Nepal’s cultural diversity, unique identity, and tourism potential, thereby inspiring them to visit the country,” said Chairperson Shrestha.
Program Coordinator Bhabindra Gaha Magar (Bhabin) informed that preparations for the festival have been intensified through the formation of various sub-committees to ensure its success.
“Our objective is to create the experience of a ‘Mini Nepal’ in Poland,” he said.
The ‘Hami Nepali Global – Poland Chapter’ is one of the Nepali organizations officially registered with the Polish government. Registered with Poland’s KRS in 2021, the organization has been conducting social, cultural, and community-oriented activities among the Nepali community there.
