US State Department releases 2026 DV Lottery results

LOS ANGELES:- The US Department of State has released the details of the winners of DV 2026. The 3,933 Nepalese who have been selected will be able to proceed with the visa process for 2026.

The visa bulletin states that approximately 129,516 potential applicants were selected through the lottery system and may be eligible to apply for immigrant visas.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that a larger number of winners were selected than available visas because there is a possibility that some of the selected individuals will not complete their applications or will be ineligible for a visa. Winners for fiscal year 2026 must be able to obtain their visas between October 1, 2025, and September 30, 2026.

They are those who filed their DVs during the 37-day application period from October 2, 2024, to November 7, 2024. During this period, a total of 28,22,624 eligible applications were received and the registered applicants were selected through a lottery.

It has been clarified that visas will be divided into six geographical regions to ensure a maximum of seven percent of visas for any country, and that applicants must have completed high school education or its equivalent.

It has been clarified that the program will end for fiscal year 2026 after a total of 55,000 visa numbers have been used. Nepal ranks third in Asia in terms of the highest lottery numbers for DV 2026.
