162 confirmed dead in Bhotekoshi flash flood

KATHMANDU:- The death toll in the devastating flash flood occurred in Rasuwa district on Wednesday morning reached 162, according to the Nepal Police.

The information shared by the Nepal Police at 5:00 this morning recorded the death of 162 people. Among the fatalities, two dead bodies were found in Rasuwa, and 12 bodies in Nuwakot.

The number of bodies retrieved from Dhading was 27, the police added. Gorkha recorded the dead bodies of 20 people; while Chitwan recorded 64 bodies.

The police added that bodies of nine people were recovered in Tanahun district. Nawalparasi Bardaghat Purba district retrieved the bodies of 26 people and two from Nawalparasi Bardaghat Paschim district.

The Nepal Police stated that 41 people are receiving treatment in different hospitals in different districts.
