Possibility of heavy rainfall in mountainous regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces

KATHMANDU:- The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has stated that the country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds. The monsoon low-pressure trough is currently positioned near its normal location.

Generally cloudy conditions are expected across the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning in some places within the mountainous and hilly regions. Similarly, light to moderate rain with lightning is likely in some areas of the Terai in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as in a few locations across Madhesh Province and the Terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

There is a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places across the hilly regions of Koshi, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces; the mountainous regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces; and the hilly and Terai regions of Lumbini Province.

Tonight, the weather will be generally cloudy across the country. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning in some places within the mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in a few places within the mountainous regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning in many places across the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and in a few places across the hilly regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

There is also a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning in some places across Madhesh Province and the Terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as in a few places across the Terai region of Sudurpaschim Province.

The department has stated that there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places across the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as the hilly region of Lumbini Province.
