Generally cloudy weather throughout the country today
KATHMANDU:- The monsoon trough is currently positioned near its normal location in the country at present and the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy throughout the country, according to the Weather Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. The monsoon system has influenced the entire country, the Division stated.
There is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in the Himalayan region of the country today. Moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is likely at many places in the hilly region of the country, the Division stated.
There is also a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning at a few places in the Tarai region of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, and at a few places in Madhesh Province and the Tarai region of Sudurpashchim Province.
Heavy rainfall is likely at one or two places in the hilly and Tarai regions of Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, as well as the hilly regions of Koshi and Lumbini provinces, the weather service stated. (RSS)
