‘Ya maa’ released as tribute to mothers

KATHMANDU:- Singer and composer Ishwar Amatya has released a new music video titled ‘Ya maa’ on the eve of Kushe Aunsi, dedicating it to the memory and struggles of mothers. The video was officially launched on Thursday at the City Centre food court, with senior film journalist Bijay Ratna Ansabare attending the event as the chief guest.

The music video, centred around the struggles of a mother, features Sujana Bajracharya in the lead role, while child artist Samaira Khadgi also plays an important part.

The song is composed by Ishwar Amatya, with lyrics written by Krishna Bahadur Napit Trishuli. Music arrangement has been done by Surendra Shrestha, and the vocals are performed by Joshna Amatya.

Speaking at the event, journalist Ansabare emphasised that a music video should not only visualise images but also effectively convey the emotion of the song and connect with the audience. He appreciated the team for successfully portraying both the emotional depth of the song and the struggles of a woman in a balanced manner. He also pointed out the director’s expertise, the effort put into cinematography to match the storyline, and the strong editing work.

The music video is conceptualised and directed by Darshan Bir Shakya, with Manoj Ratna Shahi handling cinematography and editing. Ujjay Shahi served as the production manager.
