‘We are ready to present  facts of Nepali Congress special general convention to court again’

KATHMANDU:- Nepali Congress Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma has stated that the court’s recent decision regarding the party dispute will help shed broader light on the “legal facts and political realities” concerning the special general convention.

Vice President Sharma made these remarks after the Supreme Court granted permission to review its own earlier order that had recognized the legitimacy of the faction advocating for the special general convention.

“Even though no review was sought regarding the matter that the Joint Bench of the honorable Supreme Court had already settled by dismissing the writ, a judicial determination had indeed been reached following extensive deliberation,” he said. “Nevertheless, a re-examination will certainly help to shed light on the legal facts and political realities of the special general convention in a more comprehensive manner.”

He has also made it clear that they are ready—openly and unequivocally—to once again present all the facts regarding the Nepali Congress’s special general convention before the court with restraint and maturity.
