US Undersecretary Sarah B. Rogers scheduled to visit Nepal on Saturday

KATHMANDU:- US undersecretary Sarah B. Rogers is scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu on Saturday for an official visit to Nepal. This is the third US diplomat to visit Nepal since the formation of the new government led by Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) senior leader Balen Shah.

Earlier, US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Sameer Paul Kapoor arrived in Kathmandu on a three-day visit on April 20. After that, US President’s Special Envoy and US Ambassador to India Sergio Gore paid a high-level visit.

Sergio Gore, President’s Special Envoy accompanied by the embassy’s acting ambassador Scott Arbom, flew a drone to the Everest base camp. The drone flown by envoy Sergio Gore was discussed in diplomatic and political circles in connection with geopolitics.

Sarah B Rogers, undersecretary of state for public diplomacy is currently attending a program to honor her Kathmandu-based diplomatic staff member Mike Harker, who climbed Mount Everest. Harker became the first US diplomatic staff member to climb Mount Everest while serving in office, according to the embassy.
