UML Central Committee to reconvene tomorrow

KATHMANDU:- The ninth Central Committee meeting of the CPN (UML) has concluded today. The first day of the meeting, held at the UML headquarters in Chyasal, Lalitpur, under the chair of Prime Minister and Party Chairperson KP Sharma Oli, 49 central members expressed their views.

According to UML Publicity Department Chief Rajendra Gautam, during the meeting, central members shared their opinions on the statute amendment report presented by Vice-Chair Bishnu Prasad Paudel and the organizational proposal report presented by General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel, both of which will be presented at the Second Statute General Convention of the party.

Gautam further shared that, 49 central members from Gandaki Province, Madhesh Province, Kathmandu Valley Special Province, and the Liaison Coordination Committee expressed their views on the reports today. The majority of central members supported the proposed amendment to the statute, which was unanimously forwarded by the party secretariat and Politburo meeting.

Publicity Department Chief Gautam also shared that the issue of former President Bidya Devi Bhandari renewing her party membership was also discussed in the meeting. Central members were given three minutes each to present their views at the meeting.

A committee has been formed under the coordination of Politburo member Surya Thapa, with central members Bishnu Rijal and Niraj Acharya as members, to take notes of the debate.

The meeting will reconvene tomorrow at 11:00 AM.  (RSS)
