UAE, Nepal strengthen economic ties at Kathmandu trade and investment summit

KATHMANDU:- The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Kathmandu recently hosted a high-level economic promotional and interaction program aimed at expanding bilateral trade and investment opportunities between the UAE and Nepal.

Held at the Kathmandu Marriott Hotel, the event brought together key diplomatic figures, government officials, and business leaders to discuss strategic areas of economic cooperation and mutual growth.

The program commenced with opening remarks from the UAE Ambassador to Nepal, Abdulla Jarwan Al Shamsi, who welcomed the delegates and set the stage for collaborative dialogue.

Highlighting the formal proceedings, the Visiting UAE Minister of Foreign Trade and Head of Delegation, Dr. Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, delivered a special address focusing on the strengthening of bilateral commercial ties.

Representing Nepal’s private sector, the President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Anjan Shrestha, presented a detailed overview of the potential investment landscapes and emerging opportunities available within the country.

The technical sessions transitioned into an interactive discussion, allowing representatives from both nations to exchange perspectives, address potential challenges, and explore concrete avenues for joint ventures and trade expansion.

The event concluded with a networking session and a collective commitment to fostering a more robust economic partnership between the two countries in the coming years.
