Trishuli Bus Accident: 19 Dead, Including Two Foreigners; Rescue Operation Concludes

DHADING:- At least 19 people, including two foreign nationals, have died after a Kathmandu-bound bus plunged into the Trishuli River near Charaundi in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-7 along the Prithvi Highway early this morning.

The bus, registered as Ga 2 Kha 1421, was traveling from Pokhara when the accident occurred. Among the deceased are 11 men and two women from Nepal, as well as one foreign man and one foreign woman.

A total of 44 passengers were on board. Rescue teams managed to save 26 injured individuals, who have been transported to various hospitals for treatment, with most taken to Kathmandu while some remain in local facilities.

Security personnel from all three agencies, together with residents, participated in the rescue efforts, which have now been completed.
