TENNESSEE:- Suresh Patel, a man of Indian origin, was shot and killed during a robbery at his own shop in Jackson, Tennessee. Suresh Parsottamdas Patel, originally from Mehsana, Gujarat, died following an armed robbery at his store in Jackson on August 20.

According to available information, Patel had opened a new store named ‘Ridgecrest Cellars’ just a few days before the incident. Police stated that they received a call around 9 PM reporting a robbery and a shooting at the store.

According to a notice released by the police on Facebook, eyewitnesses reported that an unidentified suspect entered the store, brandished a weapon, and demanded cash from the employees.

After taking money from an employee, he fired a shot, striking Patel. His 19-year-old daughter was standing beside him when he was shot.

A 70-year-old employee, who had worked at the shop since it opened, reportedly fell and broke his wrist during the incident.

Police have described the suspect as a Black male wearing a grey hoodie, jeans, and black work-style boots.

“His face was covered by a mask resembling those used in the game of paintball, and he was seen fleeing the scene in a white sedan,” police said, releasing three images taken from the shop.
