Road caves in at Rato Pahad, Karnali highway blocked

KALIKOT:- The Karnali highway has been blocked as the road at Rato Pahad has caved in.

Some seven meter long road has collapsed at the Rato Pahad area which lies at the border of Pili and Birtamod of wards 7 and 8 of Khadachakra Municipality, according to the Kalikot district police office.

Vehicular movement along the Surkhet-Jumla had come to a complete halt due to the landslides including at the Gagane Khola.

Chhabi Lal Bhattarai, Chief District Officer of Kalikot, informed that it would probably take a couple of days to remove the debris from the road in the landslide areas.
