Qatar government grants amnesty to 13 Nepali migrant workers serving prison sentences

DOHA:-  The Qatari government has granted amnesty to 13 Nepali migrant workers serving prison sentences there.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement issued on Thursday, expressed gratitude to the Qatari government for granting amnesty to 13 Nepali prisoners on the occasion of National Day and International Human Rights Day.

The ministry has taken this amnesty, granted on humanitarian grounds, as a profound expression of the existing bilateral relations, friendship, and cordiality between Nepal and Qatar, the statement said.

The ministry hopes that such a generous step will further strengthen mutual understanding and cooperation between the two countries.
