Nepal Day celebrated in Germany

FRANKFURT:- The 11th edition of Nepal Day celebrated in Germany Nepal Day was organised in Frankfurt, Germany, on May 2, showcasing Nepal’s rich cultural diversity, social initiatives, and global engagement under the theme “Let’s do it together.”

Organised by the Nepali Samaj Germany, the event brought together over 200 participants, including members of the Nepali community, local residents, and international guests. Through a blend of music, dance, cuisine, and dialogue, the function sought to present Nepal beyond traditional stereotypes, emphasising that the country is not only defined by its mountains but also by its vibrant and evolving society.

Chairman of Nepali Samaj, Shiva Adhikari, highlighted the organisation’s ongoing contributions to education, healthcare, and community development in Nepal. He noted that the association has facilitated 22 sponsorships for children, with a special focus on supporting the education of deaf students to help them build independent futures.Speaking on the occasion, Adhikari reiterated the organisation’s vision to build cultural bridges, raise awareness, and promote sustainable development. “Nepal is not just a land of natural beauty, but a country of resilience, innovation, and hope,” he said.

In partnership with various organisations, the Nepali Samaj has also trained 36 mobile maternity assistants equipped with portable ultrasound devices.
