Prime Minister Cup Cricket: Bagmati beats Gandaki by 170 runs

KATHMANDU:- Bagmati Province cricket team has secured a commanding victory over Gandaki Province cricket team- by 170 runs under the Prime Minister Cup Cricket tournament today.

In the match played at Mulpani Cricket Stadium, Kathmandu, the Bagmati team amassed a total of 294 runs in 50 overs. It took 8 wickets.

The Gandaki team, chasing 295 runs, had a poor start and kept losing wickets.

The team was bowled out for 124 runs in 31.5 overs. Arjun Kumal became the top scorer for his team with 74 runs but lacked support from the rest of the batting lineup.

Similarly Bagmati team’s Rijan Dhakal took 3 wickets. Sandeep Lamichhane and Ishan Pandey claimed 2 wickets each, and Dayanand Mandal and Subash Khatri collected one wicket each.

Earlier, Bagmati batted first after losing the toss and delivered a strong batting performance. Ishan Pandey scored 71 runs in 61 balls. Ashutosh Ghiraiya contributed 59 runs while Shubha Kansakar added 44 runs.

Captain Sandeep Lamichhane made unbeaten 26 runs, helping his team secure a commanding victory. (RSS)
