NPL: Sudurpaschim becomes the first team to secure its place in Qualifier-1

KATHMANDU:- Sudurpaschim Royals has entered Qualifier-1 by defeating Chitwan Rhinos in today’s match of the ongoing Second Edition of the Nepal Premier League-2025.

With the win on Thursday, Sudurpaschim Royals has become the first team in the ongoing NPL to secure its place in Qualifier-1. Sudurpaschim Royals defeated Chitwan Rhinos by 49 runs in the match played at the TU International Cricket Stadium.

Winning all six games played so far, Sudurpaschim Royals has collected 12 points. Chasing a target of 170 runs, the team Chitwan Rhinos managed just 120 runs in 17.1 overs.

For the victory of Sudurpaschim, Puneet Mehra took three wickets while Dipendra Singh Airee, Hikmat Mahara, Avinash Bohara and Ishan Pandey took one wicket each. Batting first, Sudurpaschim Royals made 169 runs in 20 overs with the loss of four wickets.

Lynn made 75 runs in 56 balls and Vinod Bhandari contributed 21 runs, Arif Sheikh and Airee made equal 24 runs for Sudurpaschim.
