President Paudel urges NRNs to promote investment in Nepal

KATHMANDU:- President Ramchandra Paudel has urged Nepalis living abroad to utilize Nepal’s vast investment potential and encourage investors in their respective countries to invest in Nepal.

During a meeting with newly elected officials of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) at the President’s Office, Shital Niwas, on Monday, the President stressed that Nepal’s economic growth is key to enhancing the dignity of Nepalis abroad. He emphasized the need to advance good governance, development, and prosperity while strengthening Nepal’s international standing.

President Paudel highlighted significant investment opportunities in hydropower, tourism, agriculture, infrastructure, information and communication, education, and health. He noted Nepal’s proximity to large markets like India and China as an added advantage, stressing the need to focus on industrialization, infrastructure development, and domestic production.

He underlined the importance of multilateral partnerships, stating that the capital, knowledge, skills, and experience of NRNs could play a vital role in Nepal’s development.

The President also appreciated past contributions made by NRNs and urged them to further enhance their support. NRNA President Dr. Hem Raj Sharma briefed the meeting on the organization’s activities and future plans.
