Possibility of heavy rainfall in the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces

KATHMANDU:- The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that the country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds. The monsoon low-pressure trough is currently situated south of its normal position.

As a result, the weather is generally cloudy in the hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi Province and other provinces, while the Terai regions are experiencing partly to generally cloudy conditions. Light to moderate rain is occurring in a few places across Koshi, Bagmati, and Lumbini provinces, and in one or two locations within Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Generally cloudy conditions will prevail across the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning in some places within the mountainous regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in a few places within the mountainous regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning is likely in some places across the country’s hilly regions. Similarly, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning in some places within the Terai regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and in a few places within the Terai regions of Madhesh, Koshi, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The Department has stated that there is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places within the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Similarly, the weather across the country will be generally cloudy tonight. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning in some places within the mountainous and hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in a few places within the mountainous and hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain accompanied by lightning in some places across the Terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as in a few places across the Terai regions of Madhesh and Sudurpaschim provinces. Heavy rain is also possible in one or two places within the hilly and Terai regions of Koshi Province.
