KATHMANDU:- The Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said that the country will experience partly cloudy conditions today under the influence of westerly and local winds.
At present, the hilly and Himalayan regions are witnessing generally cloudy weather, while conditions in the Tarai region remain mostly fair.
The Department said light rain and snowfall are occurring in some Himalayan areas of Koshi Province, along with a few locations in the Himalayan regions of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.
This afternoon, the hilly and mountainous regions are expected to remain generally cloudy, while the Tarai will stay mostly clear. Light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is likely at one or two places in the hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
Similarly, tonight the Himalayan region will remain generally cloudy, with partly cloudy conditions in the hills and mainly fair weather in the Tarai. The Department has also forecast chances of light rain and snowfall in isolated areas of the Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.
