SYNDNEY:- The Global Conference of Nepali Young Entrepreneurs—an event uniting young Nepali entrepreneurs from around the world on a single platform to focus on innovation, startups, investment, and global business collaboration—has concluded successfully in Sydney, Australia.
Held on July 24 and 25 at the Sofitel Hotel in Sydney, the conference brought together approximately 400 participants, including young Nepali entrepreneurs, business professionals, investors, technology experts, and policymakers from over 20 countries.
At the conference—organized by the International Executive Committee of the International Nepali Young Entrepreneurs Federation and managed by its Australia chapter—more than 50 national and international speakers, including representatives from the government, financial, and private sectors of Nepal and Australia, shared their experiences and perspectives on various topics.
Addressing the conference virtually, Nepal’s Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle called upon Nepali entrepreneurs and investors based abroad to invest in Nepal. Noting that the investment climate in the country is becoming increasingly favorable, he stated that the government is working to encourage the private sector and make investment-friendly policies more effective.

The government is seriously moving forward with policy reforms that will enable Nepali enterprises to expand into international markets,” said Finance Minister Wagle.
During the two-day conference, various papers were presented and panel discussions were held on topics such as AI, the digital economy, the startup ecosystem, innovation, investment, financial access, and global business expansion.
The discussions featured extensive dialogue on the opportunities created by AI, the international potential of Nepali startups, technology-driven enterprise development, attracting investment, and fostering collaboration among Nepali entrepreneurs worldwide.
According to FENECA President Gokarna Dhakal, the conference has made a significant contribution to expanding business networks among Nepali young entrepreneurs worldwide, fostering investment partnerships, facilitating the exchange of knowledge and technology, and promoting Nepal-focused investment.
“A shared commitment was expressed to more effectively connect Nepali enterprises with the global market, enhance international partnerships, and foster innovation-driven entrepreneurship in the future through the conference,” he said.
The event concluded with the decision to hold the next conference in Guangzhou, China, in 2028.
