Online voter’s name list registration through National ID Card

KATHMANDU:- The citizens who wish to register themselves in the voter’s name list can do this through National Identity Card.

In a post on her social networking site today, Prime Minister Sushila Karki said that the online service to register their names by the citizens themselves was started for the purpose of the voter’s name list registration.

With the service in place, the citizens with national identity card won’t have to visit the Office of the Election Commission for biometric records.

The voter’s name list registration process will complete in four phases. In the first phase, the process to connect the details of the national identity card to the voter’s identity card will be initiated.

Corrections will be made in the second phase after the verification of the details.

Likewise, the required documents could be uploaded in case of any changes on voting centre, new residence and marital status.

In the fourth and last phases, the voter’s name list registration process will be completed after online submission of the form with all details.(RSS)
