One-way route established for Hetauda-Kathmandu travel after Prithvi Highway blocked

MAKWANPUR:- Due to increased traffic volume on the Hetauda–Kathmandu road, small passenger vehicles are now required to use separate routes for inbound and outbound journeys, effective today.

According to the local administration, vehicles with a seating capacity of fewer than 14 seats must travel via the Bhimfedi–Kulekhani–Sisneri–Dakshinkali route. Vehicles traveling from Kathmandu to Hetauda must use the Pharping–Phakhel–Kulekhani–Bhimfedi route.

According to Santosh Subedi, an administrative officer at the District Administration Office, Makwanpur, cargo trucks and large passenger vehicles must use the Tribhuvan Highway when traveling to Kathmandu and the Kanti Highway when returning.

Traffic volume on the route to and from Kathmandu via Hetauda has increased following a road obstruction at Krishnabhir in Dhading along the Prithvi Highway. This new arrangement is expected to eliminate traffic congestion and the need for prolonged vehicle stoppages on the alternative route.
